Round

Round hot tubs fit naturally into curved patios, deck corners, and landscaped yards. They’re also easier to deliver through tight access points — when tipped on their side, a round spa can often be angled through openings that a square model won’t clear. All models below are available at our Apple Valley showroom.

Why Choose a Round Hot Tub?

Round hot tubs offer a unique combination of social seating, easy delivery, and flexible placement. Whether you're looking at a Softub for a small patio or a South Seas for a larger deck, the round shape works well in spaces where square spas feel too boxy or too large.

Delivery and Access

Round spas are among the easiest to move through tight residential access points. When tipped on their side, the consistent diameter means no awkward corners to navigate. If your gate or side yard is narrow, a round spa is often the first option we recommend.

Yes, in most cases. Round hot tubs have a consistent diameter with no corners, which makes them easier to angle through gates, side yards, and narrow access paths. When tipped on their side during delivery, they can often clear openings that would stop a square or rectangular spa. If you have a tight access point, a round model is usually the first one we recommend looking at.

It depends on the model. The Softub lineup ranges from 2 to 5 person capacity. The South Seas 627M seats up to 6 people comfortably. The GPM 8-foot round spa we're adding soon will seat up to 8. Round spas tend to have open bench seating that wraps the interior, which gives everyone a clear view of each other — a layout many families prefer over corner-focused rectangular designs.

Yes. All of the round models on this page are designed for year-round use in cold climates. Softubs in particular are engineered with full-foam insulation and an efficient heating system that holds temperature well even at sub-zero air temps. The South Seas 627M is a hard-shell acrylic spa with full insulation built for four-season use. Proper cover maintenance is the biggest factor in winter efficiency regardless of shape.

Softubs have a soft, flexible shell made from a durable polymer material instead of rigid acrylic. They're lightweight, portable, and plug into a standard 120V outlet with no electrician needed. Hard-shell round spas like the South Seas 627M have a traditional acrylic shell, more jets, and typically require a 240V electrical connection. Softubs are ideal if you want simplicity, portability, or have limited access. Hard-shell models are better if you want more jets, higher water capacity, or a permanent installation.

Yes, but you need to confirm your deck can handle the weight. A filled round hot tub can weigh between 1,500 and 4,500 pounds depending on size and water capacity. Softubs are on the lighter end and are a popular deck option because of it. For heavier hard-shell models, a structural engineer or contractor review of your deck is recommended before installation. We can help you think through the setup during our spa planning process.

A round hot tub actually uses less corner space than a square spa of similar capacity. The footprint is compact relative to seating, and the shape tucks naturally into curved or irregular outdoor spaces. Most of the round models on this page fit comfortably on a 10 by 10 foot patio area, with some Softub models requiring even less space.

All of the round models on this page are available to see at our Apple Valley showroom. We carry Softub and South Seas and can walk you through the differences in person. No appointment needed, but if you want to make sure a specific model is on the floor before you drive out, feel free to reach out ahead of time.
