Delivery Methods
Standard Patio Placement
Available in our local service area. Our team delivers your spa, places it in your prepared location at ground level on a firm, accessible surface, and walks you through basic operation before leaving.
Additional labor, equipment, or specialized placement — including decks, stairs, cranes, tight access, or difficult terrain — may require additional charges. Any such charges will be quoted and agreed with you before delivery, never added afterward. Placement availability depends on your location and site conditions.
LTL Freight — Curbside Delivery
Used for Softub spas and full surrounds shipped outside our local service area. Your order ships by freight carrier and is delivered curbside, free of charge anywhere in the contiguous United States. (Half surrounds are the exception: they are prepared at our shop and are local pickup or local delivery only.)
- The carrier contacts you to schedule a delivery window.
- Someone must be present to receive and inspect the shipment.
- You are responsible for moving the spa from the curb to its final location.
Softub spas weigh 107–167 lbs empty and roll easily on their side, so curbside delivery is manageable with a couple of people. Acrylic hot tubs and swim spas are substantially heavier — which is why we deliver those ourselves, within our local delivery area only.
Factory Direct Shipment
Softub spas ordered outside our local service area ship directly from the manufacturer to you. Transit times are the same as LTL freight. To make this happen, we pass your name, delivery address, and phone number to the manufacturer — see our Privacy Policy for detail.
Parts, Water Care & Accessories
Parts, filters, water care, and accessories are sold and shipped nationwide through our sister site, EZHotTubParts.com, which has its own shipping and return policies. Local customers are always welcome to stop by the Apple Valley showroom instead.

Delivery Timeline
Hot tubs, swim spas, and covers are built to order. Nothing sits on a shelf waiting — your spa is manufactured in the configuration you selected.
- We confirm your order and color selection within 2 business days.
- Manufacturing takes approximately 4–6 weeks.
- We schedule delivery once your spa is complete.
Typical time from order to delivery is 5–8 weeks. We keep you updated at each stage rather than leaving you to wonder.
Parts, filters, water care, and accessories ship through EZHotTubParts.com — in-stock items there ship within 1–2 business days.
Need it by a specific date? Tell us before you order. Build schedules vary through the year and we would rather set an honest expectation up front than miss a date you were counting on. Call or text 763-200-7727.
Preparing Your Site
You are responsible for having a suitable location ready before delivery. We will review requirements with you during scheduling, and we would rather catch a problem on the phone than with a spa on your driveway.
The surface
- Level, firm, and able to support the filled weight of the spa. A filled Resort 300 weighs roughly 3,450 lbs.
- Softub spas need no special preparation, no crane, and no concrete pad — a level patio, deck, or compacted base is sufficient.
- Acrylic hot tubs and swim spas require a properly engineered base. Swim spas in particular need a reinforced concrete pad.
Access
- A clear path from the street or driveway to the installation location.
- Gates, walkways, and corners wide enough for the spa. Softub spas fit through a standard doorway; acrylic spas and swim spas do not.
- Overhead clearance free of low branches and wires.
Electrical
- Softub and plug-and-play models run on a standard 115V, 15-amp outlet. A dedicated circuit is recommended.
- Most acrylic hot tubs and all swim spas require a dedicated 240V circuit with a GFCI disconnect, installed by a licensed electrician.
- Electrical work, permits, and inspection are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in delivery.
Have electrical arranged before delivery day. A spa that cannot be energized cannot be commissioned, and returning for a second visit costs you time and us a truck roll. If you are not sure what your model needs, ask us before you book an electrician.
On Delivery Day
- Someone 18 or older must be present to receive the delivery.
- Inspect the spa before the driver leaves.
- If damage is visible, refuse the shipment and contact us immediately.
- Report any damage discovered afterward within 48 hours, with photographs.

How Online Ordering Works
Softub spas and Softub Surrounds are paid in full at checkout. They are built to order and drop-shipped free to you from the manufacturer. We confirm your order and color selection with you personally within 2 business days before production begins.
Acrylic hot tubs and swim spas are reserved online with a $500 reservation deposit that is applied in full to your purchase price. They are delivered and set in place by our own crew in Minnesota and western Wisconsin only; they do not ship. The remaining balance is due before delivery and can be paid by ACH bank transfer (we send a secure invoice), card, check, or through GreenSky financing. Nothing ships until you have confirmed your order with a real person — on a made-to-order product, that step protects you as much as it protects us.
Payment Timing
Orders paid by ACH bank transfer are scheduled for delivery once funds have cleared, typically 4 business days after payment. Card payments clear immediately.
Questions
If anything about your site, access, or timing is uncertain, call us before you order rather than after. It costs nothing and it is the difference between a smooth delivery and an expensive one.
