Why 14 ft Is the Sweet Spot

At 14 feet you get a swim zone long enough for serious exercise — and real lap swimming with the right swim system — while the spa still delivers on a standard residential pad. The Premium EP-14 WaVS carries the variable-speed swim system for training; the Premium EP-14 Bench (on display in Apple Valley) is our best family layout; and the Core Swimmer 14 is the dedicated swim-focused model.

A Note on the DTL Models

The DTL-6 and DTL-8 are 14 ft swim spas with a hot tub connected on the side — an L-shaped footprint. The swim side is 14 ft (168″), but overall width runs 13′7″ to 15′2″, so measure for the full L, not just the lane. In exchange you get a true 104°F hot tub and a cool swim lane in one unit.

With the right swim system, yes — 14 feet is the minimum lane we recommend for lap swimming, and the Premium EP-14 WaVS pairs it with variable-speed jets you tune to your pace. Standard-jet 14-footers suit exercise, jogging, and recreational swimming.

They're L-shaped: a 14 ft swim spa with a separate hot tub mounted on the side, each zone with its own temperature. The DTL-6 has lounge-style spa seating; the DTL-8 adds more seats. Check total width — up to 15′2″ — when planning your pad.

Plan the pad for the spa plus service access and cover clearance on the long side. Straight 14 ft models are about 7.5 ft wide; the DTL models need up to 15′2″ of width. We review site fit before every delivery.
